Part 3 of 3 on the Weight Management System: Detoxification by DR. JOSHUA PLANT

The first two parts of this series focused on nutrition and suppression to limit the conversion of calories into fat. Today's section focuses on helping to convert the fat you already have, back into usable calories by detoxifying your body.

Lipolysis is the process of converting fat into usable macromolecules, which enter into the bloodstream, and then eventually absorbed into cells. Lipolysis, though great in converting fat into usable energy, is also a waste generating process. In fact, as we convert fat into usable macromolecules, numerous waste products are produced; this ranges from uric acid to carbon dioxide.

When our body needs energy, it wants to convert our stored fat into usable calories. However, if our body is filled with toxins it will safeguard itself by not adding to the toxin pool, or in other words our body won't poison itself by burning fat. Therefore, the rate of fat metabolization is dependent upon the rate we detoxify our waste.

In summary, the weight management system allows individuals to first "grease" the energy pathway through nutrition; second, limit the abundance of unused calories through suppression; and finally, accelerate the rate of lipolysis through detoxification.
