AMÉO CERTI-5™ SERIES: THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

The following is part of a series of Améo Essential Oil science and use articles published by essential oil experts. This article was written by Dr. Daniel Pénoël.
The subject of this letter is without any doubt a major one in the entire field of medicine and in natural health in general, your immune system and the effect essential oils can have on it.
As usual, my first duty towards you is to help clarify a notion that is often too vague or that remains confused. Etymologically of the word immune: a person who is said to be "immune" means that this person does not have to pay the price ('mune' for money and 'i' indicates the suppression). This is well known when we speak of "diplomatic immunity" or immunity for high rank political personalities.
From a physiological perspective, when you say "immune system", you should be aware that in reality there are two very different kinds of “immune system”. The first immune system that appears very early in the history of life on earth is the innate immune system. This rather primitive immune system is the one that intervenes immediately whenever any aggression takes place inside your organism. The white blood cells called leucocytes and the macrophages are the main representatives. It is your innate immune system that triggers the acute inflammatory reactions the sign of which you know quite well (red, swollen, hot and painful).
However, evolution found it necessary to go far beyond this innate immune system. Therefore, it gave birth to a complementary system which is known as the acquired immune system. A main difference between the functioning of both systems lies in the fact that the innate immune system is deprived of any form of memory, whereas your acquired immune system is endowed with a memory that you will keep for the rest of your life.
Each of the two immune systems functions with cells (cellular immunity) and with secretions (humoral immunity). The secretions stemming from the acquired immune system are the very well known "antibodies' that have the ability to neutralize and destroy pathogen bacteria. These antibodies are manufactured and secreted by the B lymphocytes. The T lymphocytes play a major role, in particular the T4 lymphocytes who are similar the intelligence service (the CIA if you will). The reason why AIDS is such a dreadful disease is that this virus attacks and destroys the T4 lymphocytes: Imagine what would happen to your country (and to the whole world) if the CIA stopped or decreased its permanent state of vigilance, especially in those days of widespread terrorism.
Introducing your Améo CERTI-5 Essential Oil Singles or Blends, in a regular way, into your daily life, will help support a healthy immune system.
What I really wish to make you understand is this biological reality: apart from your own immune cells, leucocytes or lymphocytes, you have inside your organism an immense population that plays also a major role. This population is the flora made out of billions of bacteria that live at the surface of your skin and colonizes all your cavities.
Being clearly aware of this, you can easily understand why it becomes so important to start any program checking the condition of your gut. The regular use of Zija Moringa oleifera, in particular SmartMix with its prebiotics, represents a very positive way to support your immune system and gut flora. In addition, you can also turn to the internal absorption of your Améo Essential Oils.
Just rubbing your belly with essential oils will not perform the task of supporting your gut flora. After all, mankind has always used spices and all kinds of aromatic herbs in the foods! Just think of such 'mundane' vegetables like onions and garlic: they are packed with powerful sulfur rich essences that totally respect the good bacteria inside the gut.
Therefore, introducing the regular use of your Améo oils simply represents the initial step of supporting healthy gut flora and hence your overall immune system process.
I have already explained to you the principles that apply for the internal absorption. The point here is to understand and to decide that this procedure is very beneficial. This is the way I have lived for the past forty years, each day of my life. Naturally I follow many other health and fitness disciplines, but the daily absorption of essential oils plays a role that no other discipline can replace.
The simple and most basic rule to keep in mind is the following one: whenever any essential oil tastes nice or at least does not taste too bad, then simply add one or two drops with the kind of foods that gets along well with it from the taste bud perspective (some go well with sweet foods, others go well with salt foods). The adding of one drop of Améo Lemon Essential Oil + one drop of Améo Tea Tree Essential Oil into your SuperMix or SmartMix beverage is very easy to do (shake well to make sure the essential oils do not float on the surface of the liquid) and, performed steadily, will accelerate the incredible results already obtained through Moringa oleifera.
In case the taste of the essential oil (or the blend) is too strong or it is aggressive (for instance oregano essential oil gives a burning sensation in the mouth), then simply use a capsule (one to two drops in the empty capsule, add the vegetable oil and close the capsule). This aromatic capsule will be swallowed in the middle of your meal (so that it will be taken along with the foods all the way Inside the gut).
Supporting your gut flora is the most simple and powerful way to support a healthy immune system. Later, I will explore deeper the secrets of your immune system in connection with implementing your Améo CERTI-5 Essential Oils.
I wish to the whole Zija family an auspicious New Year start for a dynamic and positive 2016,
-Dr. Daniel Pénoël
