AMÉO LIVING SERIES: CHILDREN & ESSENTIAL OILS

Children are an amazing part of life. From infancy through young adult years there are so many aspects of working with kids that benefit from the use of Essential Oils.

Oils like Tangerine, Geranium and Frankincense, which center, calm and support healthy immune function are good choices for adding to lotions and diffusing. Blends such as Gest-Calm with its Ginger, Fennel and Vetiver can help the restlessness of teething and tummies.

Baby Rubs
 

The following makes a wonderful blend to rub down baby after a bath, thus moisturizing delicate skin and supporting this tiny new immune system. A spritz at diapering as well, allows these wonderful oils to be refreshed even more often. For a 2 oz spritzer bottle add:

1 oz Fractionated Coconut Oil

1 drop True Lavender


1 drop Lemongrass

1 drop Helichrysum


Enough Grape Seed, Jojoba or Coconut Oil to fill bottle

This oil blend, mixed with purified water, rather than the above oils, in the 8oz bottle can be spritzed onto linens and carpets, as well as diffusing in the nursery, are ways of adding enjoyment and providing confidence in this new life adventure.

Mom can add Helichrysum, YlangYlang Complete, and Vetiver to salves or ointments for tender breasts during nursing. This may help her in so many ways and using Améo means we can do so with peace of mind.

Hand Purifiers
 

The use of our new Améo Hand Purifier can be a great way to benefit from the natural, cleansing properties of essential oils. Also, youngsters can carry a small container of Aloe Gel into which essential oils have been added that have cleansing benefits as well as other properties for calming, respiratory and digestive support, and focus. ProShield, Gest Calm, Determination or Soothing Aire are good choices to promote health and wellness.

Roller Blends


Teens often experience stress when it comes to academia, athletic competitions and social events. Pure Tranquility with its Lemon Verbena, Roman Chamomile and Sandalwood support the system in its effort to function in an even and grounded manner. Gentle Repose with its Clary Sage, Rosemary and Ylang Ylang Complete supports the hormone balance that a healthy system desires to achieve.

The following blend in Macadamia Nut and Fractionated Coconut oils can be placed on a roller ball bottle and dropped into a backpack for frequent use. It is specifically designed for demanding situations, allowing 'cooler heads' to prevail.

Chill! 

13 drops Lemon


4 drops Rosemary

13 drops Peppermint

5 drops Tangerine

4 drops Lemongrass

Foot Rubs 

Whether promoting sound sleep—Pure Tranquility, encouraging clear airways—Soothing Air and ProShield, or dealing with the stress and strain of athletics and growth spurts—Muscle Mend. Adding these oils to Améo Fractionated Coconut Oil and massaging into the sole of the foot can bring relief. Putting them in petroleum gel can suspend these oils on the surface and allow for slower absorption.

You can make your own blends such as Eucalyptus/Myrtle for respiration, Black Pepper for pancreatic support, Bergamot for muscle aches, Frankincense/Sandalwood for calming and Thyme/Spruce to provide immune system support.

Cooking Tip: Equal parts of YlangYlang Complete and Frankincense oils is a wonderful addition to dairy based frostings, fruit dips and cupcakes.
